When it comes to fashion, it seems that everything is a copy of something else. I understand that's how the world works, but have we completely forgotten about originality, attention to detail, and setting yourself apart from others and instead, strictly focus on what sells and what's popular? Apparently so; however, I recently discovered brand new designer, Milané Noir, who reminded me that there are still designers out there who are not focused on following the norm. With a main focus on diversity, their inspiration is a strong, independent woman who maintains a healthy balance of work and pleasure, as well as class, sophistication and sex appeal. She is confident, knows who she is, and is a leader, not a follower. #goals right?
Which is why I love this brand so much, as their goal is to empower the modern woman. Every time I put on one of their pieces, I instantly become this woman I mentioned above. It instantly transforms you. Some call it mind over matter, but I call it embracing the woman (in all its glory) inside you that you didn't know existed. #snapsnap #girlpower
All of their collections are inspired by their travels. The designer, Melanie, recently traveled to Cuba and was instantly taken back by how friendly everyone was. With little access to wifi, they are more connected to each other rather than their phones, so they are constantly making new friends and having face-to-face conversations (something we all need to work on.) Hence, this collection is inspired by Cuba and is called "Asere, que Bola!", which means, "whatsup!", "how are you friend?" Cuba is full of beautiful colors and scenery, which you can see translates into Milané Noir's collection here.
I'm wearing my favorite piece from the collection, the Floridita dress. I'm a sucker for pretty little details, and I'm swooning over the bows on the arms! #obsessed. The open back adds an elegant touch, and the laser cut fabric is what makes this dress so unique. I'm keeping this look casual with my floral sandals (also available in white and black) from Pour la Victoire, an oversized straw totefrom Dear Keaton, and a floral twilly scarf to give it a little pop.Pair this dress with a nude minimal strappy heel or wedge for an elevated look that's muy caliente! (cue the fire emoji.)
This fabric also comes in a cute ruffle crop top. Pair it with white high-waisted wide leg pants for the perfect summer look you can wear to brunch, a cocktail party, or to grab happy hour with your girls. Can I get a YASSS?!
Speaking of fabric, everything at Milané Noiris made to order by hand and sourced in New York City.
These bows are EVERYTHING!
How cute are these tassel pearl earrings?! They also come in black pearl, brown pearl and turquoise. My go-to jewelry combo for everything is thisbangle, cuff and ring. I wear these pieces literally everywhere from romantic, dressy dinners to running errands in jeans and a tee when I'm off-duty and still want to look chic. Their pieces are definitely a must if you're looking for fabulous everyday jewelry to wear for any occasion. Not to mention all of their pieces come in tons of different stones, and are best worn when stacked!
