Today's post is extra special, because I'm sharing not one but TWO outfits today!
They always say, "It's not what you wear, but how you wear it." This couldn't be more true; however, I recently discovered Charles & Keith - a shoe, bag and accessory brand - who proves you can enjoy the luxury of high-quality, on-trend designs at a fraction of the cost. They were established in 1996, but have become increasingly popular in the recent years here in the U.S. With endless pages of gorgeous and unique handbag and shoe designs, I'm OBSESSED with everything to say the least, and you will be too. Guaranteed.
Lately, I've been focused on investing in staple accessories, which is why I've turned to Charles & Keith for my summer necessities. With such incredible pieces, and most of them being under $100, it's an easy way to give your wardrobe a quick facelift without breaking the bank. I instantly fell in love with this bronze nano bag from their newest collection. This color isn't what I usually gravitate towards, but it captured my attention with its gorgeous metallic fabric and structured shape. As I started pairing it with outfits, I realized it matches mostly everything. The bronze color is still an earth tone, but with a hint of sparkle (and who says you can have too much of that? No one.) My advice? Treat this bag as a neutral, and keep in mind that you can style it casually for the daytime, or dress it up for the evening. Not to mention it has a crossbody chain, which is a must-have for me, because I always like to have the option. This bag is also available in black, red, light pink, and a white textured pattern, and retails for $75! Such a steal for what resembles a designer bag.
*Food for thought:It's funny how handbag style trends evolve. In the early 2000s, it was all about the oversized hobo bag that could be mistaken for luggage #guilty. Nowadays, bags continue to shrink in size, but I'm completely LOVING it. There's something so feminine and ladylike about a tiny, structured bag, and it says a lot about the woman carrying it. She's unmistakably understated, lives by the "less is more" mantra, and doesn't need to try too hard to make a statement. She is the ultimate classic woman.
Let's talk shoes.
I'll be honest. When I'm shopping for clothes, or anything for that matter, the last thing that crosses my mind is comfort. The same thing applies to shoes. I know my future self is shaking their head and warning me to take more precaution, but I can't help it. All I see is a pretty pair of heels, so I turn a blind eye to the future blisters.
But not with these Charles & Keithruffle heels. With almost a 4 inch heel, you still reap the benefits of a high stiletto (elongated legs, a day-long calf workout, and most importantly, r-e-s-p-e-c-t *snap snap*); however, you don't have to sacrifice your comfort, because these heels provide extra cushion making it easy to enjoy the day without worrying about constant aching.
These heels are also available in black and a powdery blue that I'm in love with. I opted for the nude, because they match everything. The ruffle detail adds a twist on your minimal strappy heel, and is perfect for the spring/summer time. And the best part is these beauties are under $50!
*Note: All of their shoes fit true to size.
This skirt by Maje is now 40% off!I'm obsessed with the delicate stripes, and you can style it so many ways. I opted for a more elevated look, but you can also dress it down with lace-up sandals and a chic button up for daytime affairs. I love how it flows in the wind when I walk, and the fabric is super breathable, making it the perfect for this hot summer heat.
I wear this jewelry set by Julie Vos almost on the daily. It's so elegant and glamorous. Shop my earrings, ring, bangle and cuff.
My navy crop top is part of ARC's newest summer collection. You can wear it off the shoulder like I am, or wear the sleeves over the shoulder, creating a feminine boat neckline (my favorite.) It features their silver zippers on both sides that zip all the way up, which is such a unique, subtle detail that makes a statement. You can shop the matching navy skirt here, which also has the side zippers.
And now for look #2
As if one bag wasn't enough, I also opted for thispink crossbody bag by Charles & Keith (#shopaholic #noshame.) Some may call it indulgent to invest in two new bags at once, but I call it shopping smart since this bagretails for $70. The price of their items are just right, making it easier to treat yourself more than once at a time completely guilt-free, since you know you're
investing in quality without putting a dent in your wallet. The chevron pattern is a unique touch that gives the bag personality. What instantly caught my eye, though, is the thick silver chain. You can feel the quality in the heavy-duty material, making this bag look way more expensive than it is. #winning
It also comes in black, silver and a beautiful two-tone teal color.
You can probably tell by now that I'm obsessed with anything off the shoulder, and this trend is not going away anytime soon in my book. It's feminine and shows off one of the most beautiful features women have - collar bones. My dress by Romwe is sold out, but you can shop similar blue ruffle dresses here, here and here(all under $15!)
MyPink tassel earrings are by one of my favorite jewelry retailers, BaubleBar. Also available in yellow, magenta and red, and they're $34!
Bow stilettosby Pour La Victoire. This color is sold out, but they're available in gorgeous metallic copper and silver colors.
Charles & Keithis definitely a brand to watch, as they are ahead of the trends and always coming out with new styles. The next time you're in the mood to add some new accessories to your wardrobe guilt-free, keep them on your radar.
