Hi, friends! It's Saturday, (yay)! It's been two weeks since I've posted an outfit, because I've had a rather tough recovery after getting all four of my wisdom teeth out. I have to say, with there always being so much to do, I felt really guilty doing nothing for two weeks, but my body appreciated the rest and down time. On a positive note, I'm super excited to be blogging again!
This week's look is inspired by the fact that I'm always freezing indoors, and sometimes wearing a long sleeve shirt isn't enough. Yes, it's extremely hot in Florida, but I spend a lot of time inside for work and public places in general. (I've even been known to wear cashmere sweaters in the summer #sorrynotsorry.)
I wanted to create a functional look to prepare for the harsh AC cold (no drama queen here..), so I layered up with a denim shirt, sweater and a blazer! My motto is that it's better to be overprepared than underprepared. You can't go wrong with this combo, because it's classic and can be worn any season!
My love affair with blazers is forever true, and I'm obsessed with this one from Madewell / BLAZER:Similar.
I live in denim shirts! They are a must-have for every wardrobe. I have a light, medium and dark wash, because they're such great, effortless staples. I scored this floral appliqué sweater from J.Crew for $10 a while back! (They always have the best sales, and offer a 15% discount for students!) / SWEATER:Similar.
Call me a sucker for trends, but I seriously can't get enough of fringe hems! These are J. Brand, and they come out with an identical version every season / JEANS:Similar. These strappy Stuart Weitzman heels are one of the best investments I've made in my wardrobe, because they go with everything. From a sexy evening dress to ripped denim, the possibilities are endless! / HEELS:Stuart Weitzman /BAG: Similar.
Till next week... <3
