When Valentine's Day rolled around this year, I craved something more sentimental than the typical chocolate, roses and fancy gifts. I wanted an
experience. And that's exactly what my boyfriend and I decided to give each other as a Valentine's present. In less than a week, we will be taking a much-needed vacay to Colorado to snowboard and I can't tell you how stoked I am! Stay tuned!
Fun fact: I've been snowboarding since I was 7 years old and it was my childhood dream to become a pro, but it was far out of reach being that I lived in Florida.
Jon Hart recently reached out to me to spread the word about their new luggage collection, and I knew it was a sign that I had to put it to good use and book that overdue plane ticket. Sometimes you just need a push.
My new year's resolution for 2018 is to travel more and collect experiences, and it all starts with quality luggage. Jon Harthas been crafting American-made travel goods and accessories for over 40 years right out of San Antonio, Texas and are currently in over 500 retailers country-wide. Despite changes in the market, they have never outsourced their products, which is very rare to find these days. Jon Hartcaters to men, women and children of all ages, and has become a family tradition for many.
Jon Hartjust launched this gorgeous rose color and I'm completely obsessed! I don't know about you, but I've always treated my luggage as part of my outfit rather than just a bag that carries my things from point A to point B. It's an accessory - a statement.
Jon Harthas everything you could ever need to travel in style for any occasion, whether you're packing light for a weekend getaway or a month-long voyage around the world. Either way, they have you covered. From suit cases to garment bags, makeup bags, organizers...you name it! I have the 'medium square duffle' as pictured, but it also comes in a small and large version, as well as many other duffle bag styles.
Even if I'm going on a mini one or two-night trip, I always pack my entire closet because I like to be prepared for anything! Sure, it's excessive, but it's better to be over-prepared than underprepared in my book! This duffle is the perfect size because if you pack smart and efficiently, it can essentially serve as a carry on.
Most Jon Hart products are offered in the same multiple colors so you can have a beautifully cohesive set. Mostly everything comes in 12 or more nonconventional yet beautiful colors, including teal, coral and lilac, as well as the standard black, brown and other neutrals so there really is something for everyone! If you're not the matchy-matchy type you can opt for a different product in every color, or you can even color coordinate so all of your luggage is one color, organizers another, as well as your toiletries etc...the sky is the limit! Just have fun with it!
My favorite thing about Jon Hartis their signature personalization feature. All of their items have the option to add monogram, which as you know I'm a sucker for! I would monogram everything if I could! It's a cute little detail that makes your luggage set that much more special, or makes for the perfect meaningful gift to someone in your life who loves to travel.
This 'mini makeup case'is the perfect size to carry all of my makeup essentials and then some. It has more space than you think but doesn't take up a lot of room. You can even use it as a makeup brush bag and have a separate matching bag for your makeup! I highly recommend this, as I personally don't like my brushes in the same bag as my makeup because the brushes easily get crammed.
This is the chicest, most affordable jumpsuitfrom Anthropologie. It's $138 and also comes in olive green and black. The romantic bow and the scalloped detailing perfectly compliment this beautiful rose colored luggage from Jon Hart. See? I told you luggage can be the perfect accessory.
Though I live in Florida, I've had to urge to travel somewhere tropical like Bali or Maldives. Silly, I know, as I live in the most tropical place on earth - Palm Beach. Perhaps what I'm craving most is a change of scenery? Either way, it's healthy to get out there and explore beyond what we know as our everyday lives. Colorado wasn't exactly what I had in mind in terms of a vacation because instead of piña coladas and sandy toes, it's going to be hot chocolate and cuddles by the fire. But it's spontaneous and our first real trip together as a couple so I'm extremely excited!
Work is good, but it's important to take a break and treat yourself to a vacation. So go ahead...book that overdue plane ticket because you deserve it. And while you're at it, treat yourself to quality luggage by Jon Hart, because with all of the traveling you will be doing in 2018, you're going to need it!
