I say this every year, but where has the time gone? This year, there were hardly any "should haves." Most goals were met (and exceeded) and many unexpected opportunities presented themselves that I never would have dreamed of... at least not this early in my blogging career. One of those where the stars perfectly aligned was me becoming the brand ambassador for Nikita Hair USA. In July, I attended a blogger event where we learned about the founder, Inger Ellen Nicolaisen, her story, and how Nikita Hair was created... meanwhile I was completely unaware of the incredible door it would open shortly after. We mingled with Inger and her team, and they ended up choosing me as their brand ambassador! Oh yeah, did I mention one of the perks was traveling to Norway? But more on that later...
Before we get started, here's a little history on Nikita Hair...
Nikita Hair is a Scandinavian-based hair salon chain that was established in 1984 and has since opened 150 salons in Europe and counting, has employed over 1,000 talented individuals, and proudly continues to service clients with over 30 years of experience. The company just recently expanded their market to the U.S. by opening their very first Nikita Hair salon here in Boca Raton, Florida, which is also their flagship salon (I recently paid a visit there, stay tuned...) and will be exponentially expanding their U.S. locations each year going forward. I'm equally honored and grateful, to say the least, to be one of the first involved in watching the growth of Nikita Hair USA from the very beginning.
Back in November, I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Oslo, Norway with Nikita Hair USA to meet the Nikita Hair Norway team, including the founder's daughter, Christinah Nicolaisen, who recently became the president of the company. It was so inspiring to meet everyone, learn about the company first-hand, visit most of the Norway salons, and be surrounded by such innovative, and forward-thinking individuals. I already knew how amazing the company is, but seeing it for myself allowed me to capture its true essence.
The ultimate goal of Nikita Hair is to create "a great feeling" for both their clients and employees alike. It's an enjoyable atmosphere to get pampered in with some of the industry's most talented professionals who truly love what they do, and it shows. Nikita Hair salons are family friendly, and welcome women, men and children of all ages with a variety of stylists on staff. In addition to the most amazing salon experience, one of the many things that sets Nikita Hair apart from other salons is their own haircare and skincare line, Eleni & Chris. All of their products are from Scandinavia, using a unique combination of the most pure and natural ingredients such as Omega SEA3oil™, volcanic minerals, Scandinavian glacier water, and Cloudberry, which has amazing anti-aging capabilities, as well as four times more vitamin C than an orange. These products are exclusive in the U.S. to the Nikita Hair salon in Boca, and their products just became available to shop on the Eleni & Chris website!
While in Norway, I visited one of the Nikita Hair salons before strolling around the city to shoot some looks because... #buildinggoals. I went for a full-bodied blowout with a little curl since the freezing weather was perfect for keepingmy hair in-place.
My absolute favorite thing about Oslo was the gorgeous architecture. Many of the buildings are hundreds of years old and every street was more breathtaking than the next with the intricacy and color blocking. It's truly a magical experience that fills you with wonder - like New York minus the flashy lights. The best part? I had trouble connecting to wifi my entire trip so I hardly used my phone and rather soaked in my beautiful surroundings.
Without further ado...
let's get on to my outfits.
I'm sharing FOUR different looks and since this trip was in November, most of the items I'm wearing are on supersale. So grab a glass of wine or make yourself a cup of tea, and get your credit card ready because I assure you, there's a ton of amazing sale pieces you won't want to miss out on... #treatyourself.
This is by far my favorite outfit from my Norway trip, and potentially one of my favorite looks I've ever featured on the blog. It's preppy with the pink bow blouse, while my boyfriend blazer adds a touch of cool. I especially love the distinguished gold buttons that add posh with a conservative motif.
Trends come and go, but over-the-knee boots are here to stay in my book, especially when they're suede. These boots by Pour la Victoire are 30% off and I linked a similar and more affordable optionhere. It may look like I'm wearing a skirt but it's actually a skort and one of my favorite purchases so far. It's well-tailored, practical, and matches literally everything. You can dress it up with heels or boots or dress it down with sneakers and a tee or jacket and wear it for multiple occasions. Not to mention it's 20% off!
My Chanel bag is from Trendlee and I'm OBSESSED. They sell thousands of gently-used authentic designer bags from Chanel to Gucci to Hermes and more for a fraction of the original price.
When it comes to personal style, I love everything from classic and understated to dramatic and bold. I'm a sucker for intricate detailing, lace, bows and anything that adds a "wow factor", which is why I'm obsessed with this blue ruffle top by Maje, which by the way is 44% off (I told you mostly everything is on sale!) It immediately sold out in many stores months ago as soon as it hit the racks and I'm surprised it's still available... hurry before it's gone! P.S. it comes in white too.
As for my shorts, guess who they're from?... Maje! Surprise! They're 20% off #chaching. My favorite thing about these is the black velvet bow belt that comes with the shorts. It's hard to see it in photos, but it's a unique detail that instantly makes any outfit super chic.
3/4 of today's looks feature suede over-the-knee boots. They're extremely versatile and can be worn casually or dressy. When I bought my very first pair, I bought them because I simply had to have them... not because I thought I would wear them as much as I have, especially living in Florida. But sure enough, I've gotten my money's worth and then some, and they're still going strong with many bright years ahead. Surprisingly, they're by far one of my most practical purchases to date.
This bag by Michael Kors is like a dream. It looks so expensive but it's only $268 - an amazing investment staple that will last for the years to come. Not to mention it has a crossbody strap #winning. P.S. it's sold out almost everywhere so hurry!
Sometimes I'm super girly, and other times I like to chill with the boys. I'm an advocate for women rocking masculine styles. When it's done properly from the tailoring all the way to the confidence, it can be more sexy than a dress and heels. Just my opinion. What do you think?
Unfortunately my sweater is sold out, but I linked similar ones below.
These pants only have a few sizes left, but they're INSANELY cool with the military style stripe down the side and the satin bow near the zipper that adds a girly touch. I linked the exact same pair below without the bow or black stripes down the side if you're looking for the same fit but a more classic style.
