Happy Friday everyone! Sorry I've been MIA for the last few weeks. Between Hurricane Matthew followed by guests visiting from Europe, life has been more chaotic than usual, but I'm finally getting back into my normal routine. #hallelujah! I have to say though, unplugging from the world of social media once in a while is extremely necessary, but I'm back and so excited to share today's look that I've been postponing for way too long!
P.S. today's post is extra special, because I'm sharing two outfits! Read on...
What appears to be a bodysuit is actually a one-piece swimsuit designed by my dear friend, Dakota Raine. You're probably wondering why I'm writing about swimwear in the fall, but this isn't your typical swimline. The purpose is to easily transition from your day at the beach to a glamorous night out. Did I mention Serena Williams was spotted wearing one of these bikinis? #pinchme
Dax & Jolie swimwear is a South Florida-based brand made in the USA with the highest of quality fabrics. Inspired by the opposition of our beautiful beaches and the glamour of New York City, Dax & Jolie is for women who enjoy the best of both worlds. After all, who said we can't have it all?Living in Florida where it's laid-back, relaxed and casual, there is definitely a lack of opportunities to dress to the nines, so it's all about making your own occasion.
I'm wearing the Sirene one-pieceand it's truly to die for! I love the intricate detailing of the low cut neckline, the cutout sides, and the open back. It's sexy, feminine, and, most importantly, versatile! I'm wearing a laser cut a-line midi skirtand my favorite Stuart Weitzman strappy heels, but you can wear it with a pencil skirt, ripped boyfriend or high-waisted jeans, or even leather shorts, a blazer and booties for a night on the town during the fall season!
I kept all of my accessories gold to beautifully contrast this all black ensemble. My jewelry is by Idalia Baudo, who is also a good friend of mine based is sunny Palm Beach! I added this amazing little gold box clutch by La Regale to complete the look that has an optional cross body strap. It's an affordable price for such a high-quality staple piece that matches everything!
If you're a two-piece kinda gal, you're in luck! You don't have to settle for just one swimsuit all season. Every Dax & Jolie suit is black and made out of the same fabric, making it effortless to mix and match bikini styles to keep your swimsuit collection fresh and exciting! They fit like a glove, and the classic cuts will never go out of style.
I customized my bikini combo with the Domini top and the classic Agathe bottom (scroll down to see) to keep the focus on the detail of top. I paired it with a boyfriend blazer, high-waisted ripped jeans and these Michael Kors heels I've had since I was 15 and promised my mom that someday I would get use out of them when I grew up!
As you can see, I'm wearing hardly any jewelry and just a simple pair of silver mirrored glasses for a minimalistic, edgy look. To break up all of the black, I paired this amazing metallic envelope clutch by Rebecca Minkoff in color "Champagne". The gold zipper outline detail adds a touch of cool, while the metallic fabric makes a statement. The best part about this clutch is that it's more of a pewter color than silver, so you can wear both silver and gold without having to worry if you're accessories are clashing!
How lovely is this "Do Not Disturb" hat by Dear Keaton?! They have the cutest selection of eclectic resort products including bags, accessories, jewelry and home decor!
