P.S. I haven't seen the September collection yet, so it will be a surprise for all of us! Here's what I do know...
The collection is inspired by ballet, hence the name, "On Pointe". As a former contemporary dancer, I admire the art, beauty and precision of ballet, and am stoked to see how Kate Spade creatively integrated ballet into their designs! Expect to see swans, roses, plaids and tweeds throughout the collection.
Let's talk about my first look...
The first outfit I'm wearing is from their current collection, "Jazz Things Up". It's inspired by all things music, and I'll be honest... I'm literally #dying over this collection. Coming from a family of musicians, including myself, music is very dear to me, and is the universal language that brings people together.
My bow blouse is multi-purpose as the bow is removable, making it ideal for a day at work or a statement with the bow for a night out! It's a staple piece that you can wear so many ways. My off-duty go-to outfit is a great blouse with cuffed ripped jeans and a heels, so I'll be wearing this top on repeat.
I paired it with their tweed skirt and adorableleather bow booties for a pre-fall look! (Can we just take a second to acknowledge how quickly summer has gone by?) Everything, including the shoes, is true to size except the skirt. I'm a true size 0 and xs, and this skirt ran a little big. It's available in a 00 if needed, and I recommend sizing down one. Although it's unbearably hot in Florida, I'm slowly easing myself into the fall spirit without layering up, because the weather here simply doesn't permit that attire...ever. #floridaproblems
I accessorized head-to-toe with music-inspired pieces like this obsess-worthyboom box bag, and it doesn't stop there! They also have piano, guitar, record case and mixtape cross body bags that I linked for you shop at the bottom of this post! Can I have them all? #need
This look is also part of the August "Jazz Things Up" collection, which also features hydrangeas.
Many people are opposed to wearing prints because it overpowers them. What I love about this particular print is that it's warm and subtle with the hues of purple.
This dressis so feminine and romantic with the hydrangeas, and I love the way it flows when I walk. It's perfect for the daytime with flats like I'm wearing, or you can dress it up with a strappy heel for the evening.
These leather scalloped flats are beautiful and go with everything! It's the perfect nude color that compliments any skin tone. I'm true size 7 and I'm wearing a 6.5, so I recommend sizing down 1/2 size.
I'm a bag-lover, and this cross body is a must! This color is "Oyster Blue", and it can easily transition from spring to fall. It's not too big, but has plenty of room for all of your bag essentials, and is the perfect pop of color to add to any outfit!
